一直以來汽車界都是由歐日品牌瓜分天下，而近年韓國車開始漸露頭角，在各大年度汽車獎項中勇奪殊榮，而剛公佈的 2020 World Car of the Year，便是由 Kia Telluride 獲得。
World Car Award 每年均會選出各界別年度風雲車，今年便是由來自 25 個國家，共 86 位專業評判組成小組進行評分，考慮的項目包括車廂空間、性能、性價比、安全、創新年眾多項目。最終 Kia Telluride 以 758 分的輕微優勢，力壓第 2 位獲得 745 分的 Mazda 3，以及 738 分的 Mazda CX-30，獲得 Car of the Year 大獎。
此外，今次 Porche Taycan 亦同時獲得 World Performanace Car 及 World Luxury Car 獎項，而 Kia Soul EV 電動 SUV 則獲得 World Urban Car 獎，而 World Design of the the Year 設計大獎，則由 去年大改款的 Mazda 3 獲得。
